Windstone Edition PYO Kirin

 

I painted this Windstone Editions' Paint Your Own Kirin using Nocturna Model's N-Paints. 

I got these from a Kickstarter a few years ago and just opened them now.

They are packaged in 8 bottle sets by color. I liked using them and they seem to be really good paints. They were a little hard to mix so I used a toothpick to mix them some more instead of just shaking. These paints don't seem to be readily available. I just check on Nocturna Model's website and only a few of the color sets are available. 

I did not do any work to the model before painting. It was a perfect casting

I painted the scales first 

The statue ended up falling as I was painting it. I glued the pieces together and regrouped. 

 

I wanted to match the colors of the original baby kirin I had.  Total painting time was around 4 hours. More Completed pictures below:
